We offer expeditions in the Brazilian Pantanal, our main expertise, but also to neighbooring ecosystems including the Parque Nacional das Emas, the Guaporé Valley on the Amazonian watershed.
In a short time we will include more detailed descriptions of the ecosystems we specialize in on these pages.

PARQUE ESTADUAL DAS NASCENTES DO TAQUARI
(Headwaters of the Taquari River State Park)
Created in 1999, the Headwaters of the Taquari State Park includes 30,618 hectors (75659 acres) in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. It is an integral area of protection in the process of implementation.
The park was created to protect the headwaters of the Taquari River, which are nearby to the Parque Nacional das Emas (Emas National Park) and flows in the direction of the Pantanal. This area is defined as a priority for the conservation of both the Cerrado and the Pantanal. It presents distinct ecosystems: cerradões –open tall forestlands, florestas estacionais, and matas cilares. More than two dozen species of birds have been identified in this area including the Scarlet Macaw (Ara chloroptera), the rare Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhyncus hyacinthinus). Mammals include the Giant Anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla) the Puma (puma concolor) and the Collared Peccary (Tayassu tajacu) are common on the reserve.
The local has archeological sites dating back over eleven thousand years that reveal the exixtence of the Peaberus, or ancient migratory routes. Caverns, primitive paintings and petroglyphs show the ancient history of human occupation of the region.
