 Snorkeling and Diving in Bonito MS:

There are a wide variety of activities for all ages and tastes. Exuberant waterfalls and cliffs, horseback riding and arborism are just some of the the activities that Pantanal Expeditions can offer. Pantanal Expeditions offers packages that include snorkeling through our regular and taylor-made itineraries. For those who are certified in diving or those who wish to take a course, Bonito, with its placid blue inland waters is know as the "Caribean of the Central West". What better place than Bonito to learn to dive? There are numerous locations for all levels of experience; from the nearby Rio Formoso, one of the principal rivers of Bonito and the world famous Rio da Prata resort, to the seemingly bottomless Lagoa Misteriosa (Mysterious Lagoon). It is even possible to dive in the murky waters of the Pantanal´s Salobra River. If you are more adventurous, you can do dive at night in the Formosa River or descend seventy-two meters by rapell and dive amidst the stalagmites in the Abhumas Abyss during the day.
The Discovery Dive:
The most popular diving option that Pantanal Expeditions offers is the discovery dive. Anyone over 10 years of age, anyone can make a scuba accompanied by a registered scuba guide, who will give an orientation withsafety instructions for good navigation and then spend, on average, fourty minutes submerged in crystal clear water in direct contact with nature, making this activity a safe adventure, careful, comfortable and very healthy. It is one of the major tours Fernando de Noronha and the Caribbean Region as well as in Bonito. A responsible parent or responsible person must be present of a person for young people 10 to 14 years old and signed authorization by parents of young people between 15 and 17 years is required. Diving programs are offered to senior citizens.
At the conclusion of the program, the diver receives a PADI certification of international participation, that counts as credit for further performance of a diving course, called the Open Water Dive.
Open Water Diver:
The Open Water Diver course teaches the fundamentals diving including equipment and techniques. The course is divided into three parts: classroom, confined water (pool) and enthralling dives at the local hotspots under the supervision of your instructor. This course is for novice divers and is certified by PADI. The course includes: Lectures: 4 days Private pool: 1 day (time to be arranged during school) Practical: 4 dives in total. Requires: mask and snorkel. The rest of the equipment is included in the course for use during the course, being: fins, oxygen tanks, regulators, pressure gauge and depth gauge, buoyancy compensator, wet suits and weight belt. Requirements: More than 10 years of age, medical certificate and 2 photos 3x4 colored. Included: Course material and 4 dives required. Anyone in good health can participate, and the program should be scheuled well in advance of your visit. Advanced Open Water Diver:
The advanced program is the perfect opportunity for you to gain more experience and techniques under the supervision of a PADI instructor. To become an Advanced Diver just be willing to try new adventures. You will do five dives exciting and different specialized dive: deep dive, naturalist, navigation compass, night diving and navigation in rapids.
Lectures: 4 days from 18:00 to 20:00 hrs.
Practice: 5 dives in total.
Requires: mask, snorkel and fins.
The rest of the equipment is included in the course for use during the course of which: oxygen cylinders, regulators, pressure gauge and depth gauge, buoyancy compensator, wet suits and weight belt.
Requirements: Have basic course, be over 15 years of age.
The program includes all written material and the cost of the dives.
